1. Who you’re contracting with

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Anand Arora, an individual operating under the brand name “Singlebrief,” based at 97/3, Belleza, Emaar Marbella, Sector 66, Gurugram, Haryana, India (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using Singlebrief, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Singlebrief. Singlebrief is intended for professional/business use by individuals managing their own work email and calendar, not for consumer entertainment use.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate signup information and keep your credentials confidential.
  • Outbound sending from your @sbrief.me address requires phone number verification (OTP) and a verified payment instrument (a zero-charge verification, not an actual charge, unless you separately subscribe to a paid plan). This exists to prevent abuse of a shared mail domain; it is a safeguard, not a means of profiling you.
  • You’re responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [PLACEHOLDER — security contact] if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or that generate abuse complaints/spam reports that threaten deliverability for other users.

4. The service, plainly stated

Singlebrief provides: (a) a native mailbox at handle@sbrief.me; (b) the ability to connect your existing Gmail account(s) alongside it; (c) Google Calendar integration; (d) “Open Loop” extraction — surfacing unresolved work from your connected email and calendar with supporting evidence and, where applicable, a prepared next action requiring your explicit approval before anything is sent or changed.

Nothing is sent, scheduled, or changed on your behalf without your explicit approval, except where you have separately and explicitly enabled a standing pre-approval (for example, a booking-page confirmation you’ve configured to send automatically) — any such standing pre-approval is clearly disclosed to you in-product before you can enable it.

5. AI features — disclaimers

  • AI-drafted content (replies, summaries, suggested actions) is generated to assist you, not to replace your judgment. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving anything before it is sent. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or error-free.
  • AI features consume “credits” as disclosed in-product before you take a metered action; deterministic features (search, category routing, Gatekeeper rules) never consume credits.
  • We do not use AI to take autonomous action, browse the open web on your behalf, or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effect on you without human review.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed at $20/month globally or a fixed ₹1,699/month for India-billed accounts (India pricing is fixed, not a live currency conversion, for RBI e-mandate compliance reasons).
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (global); we do not store your full card number.
  • [PLACEHOLDER — confirm refund policy before publishing. Common options: no refunds for partial billing periods; pro-rated refund within X days of a charge; refund only for a service outage of Y hours+. Do not publish without deciding this.]
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • India-billed subscribers: per RBI regulations, you will receive a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before each recurring charge.
  • We may change pricing with a 30 days advance notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Singlebrief to:

  • Send spam, phishing, malware, or unsolicited bulk email.
  • Violate any applicable law, including data protection, anti-spam (e.g. CAN-SPAM, India’s IT Act), or export control laws.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service’s operation or security.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Use the service in a way that damages our ability to provide it to others (e.g., generating complaint rates that threaten our mail-sending reputation).

We may suspend outbound sending or terminate an account that violates this section, with notice where practicable.

8. Your data and content

  • You retain ownership of the content you send, receive, and create through Singlebrief.
  • You can export your complete mailbox, calendar data, and Open Loop history at any time via the in-product export feature.
  • Our processing of your personal data is governed by our [Privacy Policy], which forms part of these Terms.
  • Content you place in the Vault is end-to-end encrypted client-side and is never processed by any AI feature, ours or third-party.

9. Intellectual property

The Singlebrief name, logo, and product design are owned by Anand Arora. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond using the service as intended. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service to you (e.g., displaying your mail, generating an AI draft you requested) — we do not use your content for any other purpose.

10. Third-party services

Singlebrief connects to Google (Gmail/Calendar), a managed mail provider, an AI inference provider, and payment processors, each governed by their own terms in addition to ours. We are not responsible for outages or issues originating from these third parties, though we will make reasonable efforts to inform you and mitigate impact.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Read this section carefully.

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANAND ARORA’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF SINGLEBRIEF IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA, EXCEPT WHERE SUCH EXCLUSION IS NOT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including mandatory EU/UK consumer-protection provisions that cannot be limited by contract).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Anand Arora against claims arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the service, or content you send through it, except to the extent caused by our own breach of these Terms or negligence.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurugram, Haryana, India, except that if you are a consumer resident in the EU/UK/EEA, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence may still apply to you regardless of this choice of law, and you retain the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where local law guarantees that right. 

14. Termination

You may stop using Singlebrief and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or extended inactivity, with notice where practicable. Sections on liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-product or by email before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

16. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet/infrastructure outages, third-party API failures (Google, payment processors, AI providers), or natural disasters.
